One of the most successful and well-traveled films from Cine-Magic. SHL's won best short film at the 2003 Wisconsin Film Festival and traveled to festivals around the world. Shot twice (once on Super-8 and eventually on 16mm), the making of this film was a self-taught film school for several members of the group. Loading and operating cameras for the first time, to spectacular results. View Cine-Magic discuss SHL's on The Independent Film Channel HERE. |

GAS 'N FUEL: 2003 / 15 minutes / 3/4" Video / Color / click on above image to view film site.
A lovingly crafted ode to the mind-numbing corporate training video. Follow along as perky crew trainer (Shelly), indoctrinates the dim trainee (Chris), in the regimented duties of this fictitious convenience store/gas station. Intensive research and attention to detail make this an eerily accurate facsimile to the classic corporate training video. |
