Geoff Haas

Geoff Haas is a graduate of the Vancouver Film School who currently works as a freelance camera assistant and cinematographer in Minnesota. Geoff co-founded the Midwestern filmmaking group Cine-Magic after several years of working on his own independently produced short films. As a member of Cine-Magic Geoff photographed and co-produced most of the group's award winning films. He is currently working on several short film projects and is shooting & co-producing a feature length documentary on Wisconsin's own 1970's exploitation film king, Bill Rebane. Geoff's film reel is available to view here.

Joe and Geoff formed Cine-Magic while working together at a film camera rental house and on numerous indie film projects. We continue to have strong ties to the production communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin and New York. We are confident that we can stretch the budget for this film further than most due to our experience and ability to secure free or donated gear, services and crew. We would plan to shoot this film in the Midwest on 16mm with the bulk of the budget going into stock/processing/telecine. We are very serious about film, but we're also regular Midwestern guys who like to get loaded at shows. We'd love to work with you!
Cine-Magic's films have screened on The Independent Film Channel, at The Walker Art Center, as part of Northwest Airline's "Indies In Flight", and at the South By Southwest, Wisconsin, Mpls./St. Paul and Helsinki International Film Festival's among many others. Cine-Magic also once showed a short film of a cat pooping at our good friends wedding.
